€70 team entry fee plus mandatory €30 donation to COPE Galway

Registration takes place at the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill on Saturday evening the 11th June from 7 - 8 pm & on race morning Sunday 12th June from 7-8 am.

Refreshments

Water will be available on the course. A cup of warm soup will be served to participants after the event. This service will be provided by the CopeGalway Community Catering Service. Prizes for Team Races

First team overall - €100

Fastest family in the team event will win a family weekend stay including 2 nights B&B and one evening meal in either the Galway Bay Hotel or it’s sister Hotel the Hodson Bay in Athlone. (Terms & conditions apply - based on 2 adults and 2 children sharing)

If at least five teams from secondary schools take part there will be a special prize of €250 to the winning school team.  (Ideal for transition year charity fundraising projects.)

Category winners will be given a Medal.

All participants will receive a Cope Galway branded Tee Shirt and an Event Branded Swimming Hat.

COPE Galway Ocean Race - A Triathlon Challenge to raise funds for Galway Charity

The third annual COPE Galway Ocean Race, supported by Failte Ireland, will take place at 9am on Sunday 12th June 2011 in Salthill, Galway. The event takes the format of a Triathlon and consists of a 750m swim followed by 20 km Cycle and 5km run along the scenic Galway Bay coast line. The Triathlon is a fund raising initiative for the charity COPE Galway who provide a range of services including a refuge for women and children affected by domestic violence, accommodation for homeless men and women and sustenance and social supports for older people living at home

Single Race Entry Fee: €50

Team Race Entry Fee: €70

Donation Amount :

A minimum donation of €20 or more for individuals or €30 or more for team entries is required which will be added to your race entry fee.
